Cast Iron Cactus (CIC) is a Roots Americana Band from New Orleans, Louisiana. Members are Mark Carroll on guitar and vocals, Patrick Cooper on guitar and vocals, Keith Esparros on bass guitar and vocals, and Guy Dupantier on drums and vocals. Original member Jorge Santamaria (drums, percussion and vocals) moved to Richmond, VA in 2022. The painting  of the original lineup was done by Sarah Frances Gleason. CIC plays original material as well as covers from their musical heroes (Dave Alvin, Lucinda Williams, Ry Cooder, Willis Alan Ramsey, John Prine, Hank Williams, Sr., Slim Harpo and Tom Waits, among others).

The band plays every year at Longue Vue House and Gardens and often at Carrollton Station, Madame Vic's, Le Bon Temps Roule and Buffa’s in New Orleans and Abita Brew Pub in Abita Springs. In 2022 CIC played at the legendary Red Dragon Listening Room in Baton Rouge. Check out show dates on the calendar below the videos.
